Yoga for Back Pain – Get ReliefMost people think that going to a yoga class is a good way to stretch and relax the body. Svaroopa® yoga, however, is different from other yoga’s and does more than just stretching and relaxing the body. Most importantly it is amazing for pain relief. This type of yoga focuses on the spine, releasing the spine and the tensions in the muscles attached to the spine. Svaroopa® yoga uses meticulous alignments and props which creates comfort to allow your body to ease into the poses. beginners classes are easy and simple with gentle movements, and without a lot of complicated twisting. Lower back pain is a major cause for discomfort and can inhibit many activities of daily living as well as affect your ability to work. If you are suffering, yoga for back pain may provide the relief you are looking for. Focus on the SpineSvaroopa® yoga works so well for muscular pain because it focuses on the spine, in fact yoga opens the body, by starting at the base of the spine. The spine is literally the backbone of support for your entire body. When your back is not properly aligned, the muscles in the back become overly tense, tension then creeps into other areas of your body. Anyone who has had back pain knows that pain makes you feel bad all over. When you practice Svaroopa® yoga for back pain techniques, your pain will diminish or decrease after every class. You will feel less stressed, calmer and even blissful. You will even sleep better. You are guided through every pose using slow, precise alignments which allows you to soften and ease into the poses. Awareness of your body and softening into the poses is part of our philosophy. How It Is DifferentIn many forms of yoga you are actually tightening the body when trying to hold or even to get into poses. In Svaroopa® yoga, we release muscles while easing into the poses. As a teacher, I am always guiding your movements and checking your alignments. Most of the poses in a beginners class will be done lying down or sitting and are targeted to give you a deep spinal opening which will enable you to release the tensions that inhibit you from moving and easing into your body. Many poses in other types of yoga involve standing. A lot of yoga students end up getting hurt when their body is not ready for more active or strenuous poses. Svaroopa® yoga has Standing poses which are in a more active class as well as many Classical Yoga poses, Deeper yoga poses, and Twists. Svaroopa® yoga is fully prepared to carry you easing through life. However, it is necessary to release these tensions that inhibit you from moving freely in your body before you can attend a Continuing, more Active or Deeper yoga class. Svaroopa® yoga will teach you how to properly stand and move into life with flow and ease without back pain. Getting StartedSvaroopa® yoga is perfect for anyone of any age or body size. Even if you are suffering from major back pain, you can do yoga.
