Leslie Tydings
Registered Yoga Teacher and Embodyment® Yoga Therapist
Leslie Tydings has been dedicated to a personal practice of yoga since the early 1990’s. Still, she frequently sought the assistance of medical care for various ailments. She was introduced to Svaroopa® yoga in 2003, while suffering from severe migraines, back and neck problems. She found that Svaroopa® yoga created a level of awareness and openness to her body that she had never experienced before. Leslie was not only cognizant of
physical pain relief,
but, after beginning Svaroopa® yoga her life began to change, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She became aware of an internal confidence developing, and; as her mind became quieter, she began to experience life with vitality and ease. Leslie is a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level with Yoga Alliance. Leslie is currently certified as a Svaroopa® teacher at the 700 hour level. She is presently continuing her formal Teacher Training through Master Yoga Academy in Malvern, PA under the guidance of the founder of Svaroopa® yoga, Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati. In the early 1990’s Leslie completed a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing and worked as an RN for 2 years. Her educational background brings a distinct level of understanding to her
yoga classes,
not only in anatomy and physiology, but also in how to help her students deal with pain, as well as stress and illness in their life. Leslie Tydings focuses on the individual needs of her clients with conscientious attention and detail. She encourages her students to find their own inner healing capabilities. She is strongly dedicated to her personal home practice; this brings compassion and humor into her teachings. She teaches hatha yoga classes in the Svaroopa® yoga style weekly and does Embodyment® Therapy sessions in her home studio set in the beautiful surroundings of nature. She shares her homes in Louisiana and Colorado with her loving husband, two children, ages 17 and 13, and the family pets.
